In our first and second sessions, we explored the foundation of biomimicry and how to use biomimicry in problem-solving. This time we turn to real-world examples, looking at companies that have looked at nature to develop solutions. We will explore their processes and reflect on how these practices can be used across different contexts. This event is the third part of a four-part series that explores biomimicry from multiple perspectives, from biology and research to start-ups and large-scale industrial applications. Industry and society are facing an urgent need to accelerate the transition toward sustainability. Biomimicry offers a powerful approach by drawing inspiration from nature’s resource-efficient, resilient, and circular systems. At Visual Arena, we are particularly interested in the power of visualization to make complex systems, biodiversity, and nature’s strategies more understandable and actionable. Together with biomimicry, visualization can become a strong force for the transformation that is now required.
